At Tinyhoof Horsemanship, we believe good riding starts long before the ribbons. It starts with understanding. Our lesson program combines classical riding principles, rider biomechanics, equine psychology, and mindful progression to help students develop the skills, and the confidence, to become thoughtful, capable equestrians.
Every rider's journey is different. Whether your goal is to compete, prepare for horse ownership, or simply feel more confident in the saddle, lessons are tailored to meet you where you are and help you move forward at a pace that builds lasting understanding.

A lifelong student of the horse.
With over 30 years of riding and showing experience, Erin has developed her horsemanship across a variety of disciplines, including AQHA, hunter-jumpers, Arabians, dressage, and reining. She has apprenticed under professional trainers and brings experience in both the show ring and the training barn.
Erin's approach to horsemanship was transformed after adopting and starting her mustang, Jackson. Her experience with him deepened her understanding of equine psychology, body language, and the importance of working with the horse rather than simply asking the horse to comply.
Today, Erin combines her background in psychology with classical riding principles and natural horsemanship to help riders develop clear communication, body awareness, confidence, and a genuine partnership with their horses.
After founding Tinyhoof Horsemanship in Oregon in 2015, Erin relocated her program to Cottonwood, California, in 2022. She now operates from Blue Oak Stables, where she teaches riders of all ages and coaches a small show team in hunter-jumpers and three-day eventing.
Her goal is simple: help riders become more confident, capable, and connected, while keeping the horse at the center of the journey.

Blue Oak Stables is more than a boarding and training facility, it’s a place where family, passion, and community come together. Our mission is to help riders and their horses grow, thrive, and reconnect with the simple joys of equestrian life. From the moment you pass through our gates, you’ll feel a sense of welcome, peace, and tradition that makes Blue Oak Stables truly special.
Blue Oak Stables was born from a deep love of horses and the equestrian lifestyle. What began as a personal journey quickly evolved into a vision: to create a space where people of all ages and skill levels could build lasting connections with their horses, each other, and the land around them. In July 2025, that vision became a reality when the Cramer family took the reins and made Blue Oak Stables their home.
Rooted in family values, the stable is designed to be a place where future generations can learn, grow, and explore their passions, whether they revolve around riding, caring for animals, or simply being in nature. Every corner of the property reflects a commitment to balance, belonging, and the belief that there’s something here for everyone.
At Blue Oak Stables, you’ll find more than just top-notch care and training, you’ll discover a supportive environment built on trust, dedication, and the timeless bond between humans and horses.
We invite you to become part of the Blue Oak Stables story.
